Les Fines Lames Introduces New World Cup Cigar Cutter Line
The cigar industry never misses an opportunity to celebrate major events. Company anniversaries and milestones frequently spark the creation of new brands, Lunar New Year releases have become a staple, and now the upcoming FIFA World Cup is inspiring a wave of themed products.
Oliva has unveiled a football-shaped humidor, Plasencia and OZ Family have created new tournament-themed cigars, and French cigar accessory manufacturer Les Fines Lames has also joined the movement.
The company has announced a limited edition of its signature Le Petit cigar cutter, featuring 48 new designs, each showcasing the national flag of a World Cup participating country.
“Representing your country is about much more than just football, borders, or a tournament. It’s about who you are,” says Fabien Kerneis, Digital Manager at Les Fines Lames. “For years, our community has been asking to see their country’s flag on the Le Petit. The World Cup is the perfect occasion to fulfill this long-standing wish.”
Each cutter is crafted from stained wood and equipped with a razor-sharp 14C28N stainless steel blade. This anti-corrosive steel is exceptionally well-suited for knife manufacturing. These pocket-sized accessories are produced in Thiers, France, a city with a rich heritage in cutlery and cutting-tool production.
Depending on how deeply you prefer to cut the cigar cap, the Le Petit can easily accommodate cigars up to a 70-ring gauge.
